  1. Allah shall pay them back their mockery, and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

  2. There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the Shaitan and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

  3. Allah is the guardian of those who believe. He brings them out of the darkness into the light; and (as to) those who disbelieve, their guardians are Shaitans who take them out of the light into the darkness; they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide.

  4. Have you not seen those to whom a portion of the Book has been given? They believe in idols and false deities and say of those who disbelieve: These are better guided in the path than those who believe.

  5. Have you not seen those who assert that they believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They desire to summon one another to the judgment of the Shaitan, though they were commanded to deny him, and the Shaitan desires to lead them astray into a remote error.

  6. Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan. Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan; surely the strategy of the Shaitan is weak.

  7. Say: Shall I inform you of (him who is) worse than this in retribution from Allah? (Worse is he) whom Allah has cursed and brought His wrath upon, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who served the Shaitan; these are worse in place and more erring from the straight path.

  8. And the Jews say: The hand of Allah is tied up! Their hands shall be shackled and they shall be cursed for what they say. Nay, both His hands are spread out, He expends as He pleases; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord will certainly make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; and We have put enmity and hatred among them till the day of resurrection; whenever they kindle a fire for war Allah puts it out, and they strive to make mischief in the land; and Allah does not love the mischief-makers.

  9. Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till you keep up the Taurat and the Injeel and that which is revealed to you from your Lord; and surely that which has been revealed to you from your Lord shall make many of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; grieve not therefore for the unbelieving people.

  10. And We will turn their hearts and their sights, even as they did not believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

  11. Whomsoever Allah causes to err, there is no guide for him; and He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

  12. And if Allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but We leave those alone who hope not for Our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

  13. Continue then in the right way as you are commanded, as also he who has turned (to Allah) with you, and be not inordinate (O men!), surely He sees what you do.

  14. And certainly We raised in every nation a messenger saying: Serve Allah and shun the Shaitan. So there were some of them whom Allah guided and there were others against whom error was due; therefore travel in the land, then see what was the end of the rejecters.

  15. And when We said to you: Surely your Lord encompasses men; and We did not make the vision which We showed you but a trial for men and the cursed tree in the Quran as well; and We cause them to fear, but it only adds to their great inordinacy.

  16. And as for the boy, his parents were believers and we feared lest he should make disobedience and ingratitude to come upon them:

  17. Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits.

  18. Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate;

  19. Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate.

  20. Eat of the good things We have given you for sustenance, and be not inordinate with respect to them, lest My wrath should be due to you, and to whomsoever My wrath is due be shall perish indeed.

  21. And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.

  22. And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people;

  23. This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones;

  24. And (as for) those who keep off from the worship of the idols and turn to Allah, they shall have good news, therefore give good news to My servants,

  25. His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error.

  26. Have they charged each other with this? Nay! they are an inordinate people.

  27. Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people?

  28. The eye did not turn aside, nor did it exceed the limit.

  29. And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate;

  30. That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure.

  31. Said they: O woe to us! surely we were inordinate:

  32. Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment.

  33. Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high,

  34. A place of resort for the inordinate,

  35. Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.

  36. Then as for him who is inordinate,

  37. Who committed inordinacy in the cities,

  38. Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy,

  39. Nay! man is most surely inordinate,
