  1. And do not approach the property of the orphan except in the best manner until he attains his maturity, and give full measure and weight with justice-- We do not impose on any soul a duty except to the extent of its ability; and when you speak, then be just though it be (against) a relative, and fulfill Allah's covenant; this He has enjoined you with that you may be mindful;

  2. And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful;

  3. And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light those are they who have made their souls suffer loss because they disbelieved in Our communications.

  4. And to Madyan (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; clear proof indeed has come to you from your Lord, therefore give full measure and weight and do not diminish to men their things, and do not make mischief in the land after its reform; this is better for you if you are believers:

  5. And to Madyan (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than He, and do not give short measure and weight: surely I see you in prosperity and surely I fear for you the punishment of an all-encompassing day.

  6. And, O my people! give full measure and weight fairly, and defraud not men their things, and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief:

  7. And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing.

  8. And give full measure when you measure out, and weigh with a true balance; this is fair and better in the end.

  9. These are they who disbelieve in the communications of their Lord and His meeting, so their deeds become null, and therefore We will not set up a balance for them on the day of resurrection.

  10. And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account.

  11. Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful.

  12. And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell

  13. And weigh (things) with a right balance,

  14. Allah it is Who revealed the Book with truth, and the balance, and what shall make you know that haply the hour be nigh?

  15. And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance

  16. That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure.

  17. And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient.

  18. Certainly We sent Our messengers with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with equity; and We have made the iron, wherein is great violence and advantages to men, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His messengers in the secret; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.

  19. But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient.

  20. Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy,

  21. And as for him whose measure of good deeds is light,
